Posagots de ganxet? / Crochet coasters?

Fa uns dies vaig veure a Pinterest un joc de posagots de ganxet que em va agradar molt i de seguida em vaig posar a fer-ne uns quants... Però quan vaig acabar el primer, el resultat no em va convèncer del tot...

I com ja se m'havia posat al cap tenir mitja dotzena de posagots, vaig decidir canviar el disseny, reaprofitant el dels quadradets de la bossa de ganxet del kit Chouette, però fent-los una mica més grans amb un parell de voltes addicionals. I així estan quedant....

I ara que ja els tinc quasi acabats, descobreixo la secció Món Crafty que fan cada dimarts a les 12:30h als Matins de Catalunya Ràdio, on ens proposen que els lliurem uns quants granny squares per folrar l'arbre de davant l'emissora el dia 27 d'agost! Així que em sembla que en faré uns quants més!

Some days ago I saw a beautiful crochet coaster set in Pinterest and I immediatly decided to make one for me... But when I ended the first coaster, I wasn't much happy with the result...

So I decided to re-use the design of the granny squares of the Chouette kit bag, adding two additional rows to make them a bit bigger. And here you have how they're ending up...

And now that the work is almost done, I've find out that a local radiostation has asked for help in a yarn bombing event: to cover a nearby tree with granny squares on August the 27th! So I think I'll be making another batch by that day!

Coca de tomàquets de l'hort / Heirloom tomato tart

Avui torno a la cuina i us proposo una recepta per aprofitar la temporada de tomàquets. La vaig veure la setmana passada al fantàstic blog de Joy the Baker i no m'he pogut resistir a plagiar-la! :)

Aquest cop no hi he fet gaires canvis, a part d'eliminar el picant de la salsa pesto i substituir la pasta de full per pasta brisa (perquè ja en tenia a casa, segur que amb full també està boníssima). El resultat m'ha encantat i ja estic pensant en repetir, substituint part dels tomàquets per una combinació de verdures com carabassó, pebrot... ummmm!!

Amb les mides del pesto que us passo a la recepta, n'he tingut una mica massa per a aquesta coca. Així que, donat que també tenia alfàbrega de sobra, he aprofitat per afegir-la al pesto sobrant, juntament amb parmesà ratllat i una mica més d'oli i tornar-ho a passar per la batedora... Segur que estarà boníssim com a salsa per a la pasta!

Ingredients:

Per al pesto de tomàquets secs:

• 80 g de tomàquets secs
• 1 gra d'all
• un pessic de sucre
• una culleradeta de sal
• oli d'oliva

Per a la coca:

• 1 full de pasta brisa (o de pasta de full)
• un grapat de fulles d'alfàbrega
• 100 g de formatge de cabra
• 4 tomàquets madurs de mida mitjana, tallats a un gruix de 0,5 cm
• 1 cullerada de fulles de timó fresc
• oli d'oliva

Preparació:

Per al pesto de tomàquets secs:

1. Poseu en remull amb aigua calenta els tomàquets secs, per a què es rehidratin (uns 15 minuts).
2. Peleu l'all i poseu-lo al got de la batedora amb la sal, el sucre i els tomàquets rehidratats.
3. Bateu-ho tot junt mentre aneu afegint l'oli a poc a poc, fins que aconseguiu una textura cremosa.

Per a la coca:

1. Disposeu la pasta brisa sobre la safata del forn i unteu-la amb el pesto de tomàquets secs, deixant lliure un marge de mig centímetre, aproximadament.
2. Repartiu per sobre les fulles d'alfàbrega, picades de forma grollera, i el formatge de cabra, a trossets.
3. Disposeu els talls de tomàquet de manera que cobreixin tot el pesto.
4. Repartiu el timó per sobre del tomàquet i afegiu un rajolí d'oli per sobre de la coca.
5. Feu coure al forn a 180ºC, durant uns 30 minuts.

Today I've been back to the kitchen for a "remake" of a recipe I saw last week in Joy the Baker's blog (it's gorgeous!). A great way to take advantage of tomato season!

This time I've only made some minor changes: I've skipped the chili in the sundried tomato pesto sauce and I've used shortcrust pastry instead of puff pastry (because that's what I had at hand, not that I don't think it would be great too!). I love the results and I'm already thinking about repeating it again adding other veggies like zucchini, bell peppers... yum!!

With the ingredients listed, I've had a little surplus of pesto sauce. As I had extra basil leaves too, I've added them to the remaining pesto with some grated parmesan and a bit more olive oil... I'm sure it will make a great pasta sauce!

Ingredients:

For the sundried tomato pesto sauce:

• 80 gr (3 ounces) sundried tomatoes
• 1 clove garlic, peeled
• big pinch of granulated sugar
• 1 scant teaspoon salt
• olive oil

For the Tart:

• 1 sheet shortcrust pastry (or puff pastry)
• small handful fresh basil leaves
• 100 g (3,5 ounces) goat cheese
• 4 medium heirloom tomatoes, sliced about 0,5 cm (1/4-inch) thick
• 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
• olive oil

Instructions:

For the sundried tomato pesto sauce:

1. Place the sundried tomatoes in boiling water and wait until rehydratation, about 15 minutes.
2. Combine sundried tomatoes, garlic clove, sugar, salt in the bowl of a food processor.
3. Blend while you add olive oil, until you get a creamy texture. The mixture does not need to be completely smooth.

For the tart:

1. Unfold a chilled sheet of shortcrust pastry (or puff pastry) and spread the pesto sauce, leaving about a 0,5 cm (1/4-inch) border around the edges.
2. Coarsely tear basil leaves over the sauce. Crumble goat cheese over the sauce.
3. Arrange heirloom tomatoes over the goat cheese, covering as much of the sauce as possible, and press down slightly.
4. Sprinkle generously with fresh thyme and drizzle with olive oil.
5. Bake at 180ºC (350 F), about 30 minutes.

Against my will... I'm back to work, which has affected the pace of the "diamond joining" task.... :(
...but, on the other hand, my "crocheting commutes" are back, and therefore the amount of diamonds is increasing again! :)

Bossa de ganxet i roba / Fabric and crochet bag

Fa uns quants posts us comentava que havia rebut el meu Kit Chouette... bé, doncs avui ja us puc ensenyar els primers resultats del que he fet amb ell!

D'entre totes les propostes, i n'hi ha un munt!, em va encantar una bossa que combina roba i uns granny squares amb un estel al mig... així que he començat per aquí...

La part de ganxet és força senzilla i està molt ben explicada al llibret del kit, així que no m'ha donat gaire guerra. Però el tema de cosir ja m'ha donat més feina... bàsicament perquè jo de cosir tinc molt poca idea i perquè la meva mare, que en sap un munt, no me n'ha deixat passar ni una!! :P

Ara, el resultat val la pena, l'interior ha quedat molt polit i la bossa m'encanta!

Ja em direu què us sembla a vosaltres!

Some posts ago I told you about the Kit Chouette I had ordered... Well, here you have the first result of the work done with it!!

Among all the proposals included (and there are a lot!), I fell in love with a bag combining fabric and crocheted granny squares with a star... so I started with it...

The crocheted part is pretty easy and very well explained in the leaflet included in the kit. But the sewing part wasn't that easy... mostly because I don't know a thing about sewing... Luckily, my mother (who is an expert) has been of great help!!

So I love how it ended up!!

What do you think about it??

 

Cartereta amb punt avellana: SC#179 / Coin purse: SC#179

Aquesta setmana em torno a apuntar al repte de The Serial Crocheteuses. El proposa la Isabelle i podeu veure la feina de la resta de participants al Museu.

El tema era crear qualsevol objecte utilitzant el punt "avellana" (la traducció literal del francès point noisette em sembla a mi que no és la més encertada... però no tinc idea de com es deu dir aquest punt en català! :P).

Jo he fet una altra cartereta... em sembla que s'estan convertint en una obsessió! :P

Tot i què aquesta m'ha quedat un peleeeet flower power... no sé si m'explico... el rosa, que no és "lo meu"! :)

This week I'm in the challenge of The Serial Crocheteuses again. Isabelle is hosting the proposal and you'll find the work of all the participants in the Museum.

The point was to crochet anything using "noisette" stitch (the translation from french would be hazelnut stitch, but I don't think that's the correct name for that stitch in english... LOL).

I've made another coin purse... it's becoming an obsession! LOL

But this one may have ended up a biiit too sweet for me... pink has never been my color! :)

CAL manteta Vasarely #8 / CAL Vasarely blanket #8

Si!!!! Per fi!!!! Aquests últims dies no he fet ni un rombe nou, però he entrat gairebé tots els fils dels rombes fets i he començat a unir els primers rombes!!! Definitivament, deu ser que els aires de la muntanya m'inspiren... :P

També he aprofitat per fer recompte de la feina feta... tinc un total de 91 rombes fets... Com que els meus rombes són un pèl més grans que els del patró, per aconseguir una manteta d'uns 1,20 m d'ample, aproximadament, només necessito 165 rombes... així que tinc més de la meitat de la feina feta!

Yes!!!! Finally!!!! In these two weeks I haven't crocheted a single diamond, but I've sewed in almost all the loose ends and I've started joining the first diamonds!!! I'm inspired by the surrounding mountains, it seems... LOL

I've made inventory of the work done so far too... I've crocheted a total amount of 91 diamonds... As my diamonds are a bit bigger than expected, to get a 1,20 m width blanket I'll need 165 diamonds... meaning that I've done more than half of the work!

Bufanda d'estiu de punt / Summer knitted scarf

Si... d'acord... amb la calor que està fent potser és una mica xocant el títol del post d'avui... però deixeu que m'expliqui!!

Fa un parell de mesos vam anar a passar el matí de diumenge al mercat setmanal de Centelles i, per a la meva sorpresa, hi vaig trobar una parada amb una provisió impressionant de llana, fils de ganxet... i un tipus de llana ampla i calada per fer mocadors o bufandes, que ja fa temps que tenia curiositat per provar!

Jo de fer mitja no en sé gairebé gens... amb prou feines muntar els punts, fer punt del dret i tancar la feina... però amb aquest tipus de llana n'hi ha de sobres i, a més, la feina s'avança súper depressa! Tot i això, els resultats són fantàstics!!

Total, que en un moment he acabat un mocador que m'anirà de fàbula, no pas per sortir al carrer aquests dies, sinó per lluitar contra "els rigors" de l'aire condicionat de l'oficina!

Yes... I know... In the middle of our summer heat, the tittle of that post may seem shocking... but, please, let me explain!!

Two months ago we spend a Sunday's morning in the weekly market of a town named Centelles. To my surprise, I found an impressive variety of knitting and crocheting yarn, including a kind of ruffles yarn I immediatly fell in love with!

I know almost nothing about knitting... but you only need to know the knit stitch to work this kind of yarn (not even purl stitch!) and to bind off (which I learnt thanks to YouTube!). Nevertheless, the results are great!!

So... in less than an hour, I finished a scarf that'll work great, not to go out these days, but to fight the air conditioning in the office!
